Every two years, the German steel distribution sector meets for the regional assemblies of the Bundesverband Deutscher Stahlhandel. The agenda covers current market developments, a specialist session on innovation and automation, and legal topics relevant to day-to-day trading practice. Elections to the regional boards and their deputies also take place.

DigiDay 2026 brings together decision-makers from German steel and stainless distribution, with artificial intelligence as this year's focus. Zirkel Technologies will attend. Hüttentag 2026
Hüttentag is the annual meeting point of the German steel industry. The 2026 theme addresses the sector's role in wider economic transformation, with US tariff policy, CBAM, import quotas and energy costs on the agenda. Zirkel Technologies will attend. Regulatory reporting such as CBAM is ultimately a data problem: emissions figures, origin records and inspection certificates have to be available and reliable across the chain, out of ERP and inventory systems rather than out of spreadsheets.

Stuttgarter Sägetagung
The Stuttgart Sawing Conference puts the spotlight on a process that is critical to component manufacturing yet rarely discussed in its own right. It brings together researchers, tool manufacturers and users from the wood, metal and plastics sectors. The 2026 programme focuses on production efficiency, quality optimisation, the use of machine data, and modern automation concepts, alongside a hands-on session and a tour of the Fraunhofer IPA manufacturing and process technology laboratories.

Düsseldorfer Edelstahltage 2027
The Düsseldorfer Edelstahltage are the most important industry gathering for the stainless steel sector in Germany. Every two years, specialists from production, distribution and processing meet to discuss current issues across the entire value chain. The theme for 2027 is "Auf zu neuen Ufern" - setting out for new shores - with generational change in the industry, shifting geopolitical conditions, and the question of what strategies will keep Europe in a leading position. Zirkel Technologies will be there. For us, every one of those strategy questions starts in the same place: in the systems where alloy surcharges, heat traceability, processing and inspection certificates are actually recorded. Anyone planning to change their processes first needs to know what their ERP and CRM landscape can support today.
